Job role: School Janitor
Days of Working: Monday till Friday
Timings: 9am till 5pm
Payrate: £13.68/hour including Holiday pay
Location: Grange Academy Campus, Grange Campus, Beech Avenue, Kilmarnock, East Ayrshire, South Scotland, KA1 2EW, United Kingdom
Pay cycle: Weekly
Job Duties for School Janitor:
1. Cleaning & Maintenance:
o Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in classrooms, hallways, and common areas.
o Clean windows, walls, and ceilings.
o Maintain cleanliness in restrooms and replenish supplies (toilet paper, soap, etc.).
o Empty trash bins and ensure proper disposal.
2. Facility Upkeep:
o Perform minor repairs (e.g., fixing taps, replacing lightbulbs).
o Ensure all school areas are safe and hazard-free.
o Report major maintenance issues to management.
3. Set-up & Preparation:
o Set up classrooms or hall spaces for events, meetings, or special activities.
o Assist in setting up school equipment as needed.
4. Outdoor Maintenance:
o Keep school grounds tidy (e.g., picking up litter, clearing walkways in winter).
o Ensure entrances are clean and presentable.
5. Health & Safety Compliance:
o Follow all health and safety procedures when using cleaning equipment.
o Ensure compliance with school safety protocols.
