Summary

About the role:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our established and successful Business Development team at Choice Support, on a 12 month fixed term contract covering maternity leave. In this role, you will help to build and maintain positive relationships with Local Authorities across defined areas. Your work will ensure we receive suitable referrals and can fill spare rooms in our services quickly and appropriately, supporting the needs of the people who use our services.

You will act as the main point of contact for Local Authorities, managing all referrals including Frameworks, screening and assessments. You will progress referrals quickly and efficiently, while also building strong partnerships with Local Authorities and other organisations such as Housing Providers. You will work closely with Regional Operational Managers, Service Managers and the Housing Team to ensure that every referral is handled smoothly and in a timely way. You will also monitor referral activity, keep accurate records, and report progress to the Director of Business Development and the Relationship Manager. As part of your role, you will identify people’s needs and highlight where future development opportunities could support Choice Support’s strategy and future service planning.

26.25 hours per week.

Location:

Home‑based, with some travel required and the ability to attend at our office in Kent.


About you:

You will bring a professional manner and excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will be confident, resilient and results‑focused, with the ability to think creatively and solve problems. A structured and methodical approach to work is essential, along with the ability to build positive relationships across all departments. You should also have a good understanding of assessment and occupancy processes and enjoy working both independently and as part of a team.
