A high‑performing secondary school in Croydon, recently graded 'Good' by Ofsted, is seeking a motivated and forward‑thinking Head of Science - or a strong practitioner ready to progress into a leadership role. The Science Department is well‑resourced, innovative, and supported by a collaborative team committed to delivering excellent teaching across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

About the Role
- Lead and inspire the Science Department across KS3-KS5
- Oversee curriculum planning, assessment, and teaching quality
- Mentor and support staff, fostering a positive and ambitious team culture
- Work closely with SLT to contribute to whole‑school improvement
- Drive strong outcomes for all students through effective subject leadership

Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Experience as Head of Science, or a highly experienced Science Teacher ready for leadership
- Strong subject knowledge across all science disciplines
- Proven ability to raise attainment and lead by example
