Design & Technology Teacher
Location: Torquay

Start Date: ASAP (ongoing sickness cover)
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Design & Technology Teacher to join a well-established secondary school in the Torquay area. This full-time, temporary role offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the education and development of students aged 11–18.
The Role
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality DT lessons across KS3, GCSE, and A-Level, supporting learners of all abilities within a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver engaging and effective Design & Technology lessons across KS3, KS4, and KS5
• Plan, prepare, and assess lessons tailored to a wide range of abilities
• Support and monitor pupil progress to help students achieve their full potential
• Work with students with SEN, particularly MLD and ASD (preferred)
• Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals
• Promote positive behaviour and a safe, supportive classroom environment
Essential Requirements
• Recent experience teaching Design & Technology (SEN experience preferred)
• A recognised teaching qualification
• Proven experience teaching students aged 11–18
• Hold a Current Enhanced DBS
• Availability to start immediately
