Summary
We are looking for a PA who will have previous experience working with individuals with learning disabilities and demonstrate a strong understanding of the challenges they may face. They will be able to adapt and tailor support to meet the individuals needs. A compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach is essential, alongside a genuine commitment to supporting individuals in a respectful and person-centred manner.
The candidate must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling them to build positive relationships with individuals. They should be flexible and adaptable, responding effectively to evolving needs and changing circumstances. A sound understanding of special needs is essential to ensure appropriate, inclusive, and effective support is provided at all times.
The role will include providing support with day-to-day organisation and assist the individual in managing their daily routines and activities.
Providing support to help the development of essential life skills, such as cooking, household chores, and support with monthly budgeting.
Foster a supportive, nurturing, and safe environment that encourages confidence, wellbeing, and personal development. Build positive and trusting relationships through patience, understanding, and consistent support, ensuring individuals feel valued and respected.
