Buyer – construction business
The Business
Origin leisure is a successful contractor specialising in indoor swimming pool and building construction in the South –East and London. Origin is the longest established indoor pool builder in the UK. For over forty years we have been designing and constructing increasingly complex and sophisticated pool houses, for an increasingly sophisticated clientele.
The Role
Buying and contract support is a key part of the business working with site and office staff.
The role will work closely alongside construction and provide project support.
Undertake activities or tasks related to the projects and products as may be deemed necessary to meet ongoing or changing needs of the business with a focus on project delivery. The task of buying the construction materials and hiring construction plant and equipment is a key part of this role, therefore a fundamental understanding of building and construction techniques, terms, regulations and method is essential.
Experience
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and will be a team player in busy workplace.
You should have the ability to develop, maintain and build working relationships with site staff and suppliers/sub-contractors.
Construction related experience is particularly important.
British driving license & own car essential.
