Summary
Job Summary
Salma Jay Health Care Ltd is seeking compassionate, reliable, and committed Domiciliary Care Workers to provide high-quality care and support to individuals in their own homes. The role involves supporting service users with daily living activities, promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing.
Employment is conditional upon compliance with all statutory and company requirements, including training and safeguarding standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting, and mobility support
• Assist with medication in line with care plans and company policies
• Support service users with meal preparation and nutrition
• Assist with light domestic duties such as cleaning and laundry
• Promote independence, dignity, privacy, and choice at all times
• Observe, monitor, and report changes in service users’ physical or emotional wellbeing
• Maintain accurate care records and documentation
• Follow all health and safety, safeguarding, and infection control procedures
• Work in accordance with CQC standards and company policies
Training and Development
• Applicants must have relevant care training OR be willing to undertake full training
• Ongoing on-the-job training and development will be provided
• Staff are expected to demonstrate a willingness to learn, improve skills, and attend mandatory training sessions
Compliance and Conditional Employment
Employment is conditional upon:
• Right to work in the UK
• Enhanced DBS check
• Completion of mandatory training
• Compliance with company policies and procedures
• Adherence to safeguarding and confidentiality standards
Person Specification
Essential:
• Caring, patient, and respectful attitude
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to train and develop professionally
• Reliability and commitment to high-quality care
Desirable:
• Previous experience in domiciliary or health and social care
• NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care
• Full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential, depending on role)
