Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

Teaching Assistant– Level4– Grade 5

Permanent, Term Time – Part time School Hours are 8:30 – 3pm with after school clubs until 4pm (Actual working hours would be between 8:30am – 3:30pm Monday to Thursday and 8:30am – 3pm Friday)

Salary: Grade 5 £25,989 – 27,254 per annum prorata (Grade 5: SCP 6-9)

Actual starting salary £16,773.78 based on a maximum working pattern of 27.5 hours per week – term time including INSET days

As a partner academy in JTMAT, we are seeking to appointapositive,literacyfocused teaching assistant to join our evolving organisation,to support interventions and lessons forstudents who haveadditional literacy needs, over and above that of their peers,andfor whom English isn’t necessarily their first language.

The successful candidate will be qualified to at least level3 NVQ equivalent in teaching supportor equivalent knowledge,skillsand experience.Youwill have excellent Maths and English skills and an aptitude to support students to access the curriculum within the classroom, supporting the teacher and in small groupinterventionsas directed by senior staff orteachers Youwill be a team player but will alsohave the ability towork on your own initiative to support our students.
