Summary
The Pathology at Wigan and Salford (PAWS) service is a joint venture between Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHSFT and the Northern Care Alliance NHSFT.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Support Worker to join our team based at Salford Royal Hospital. You will be hard working and adaptable and committed to providing a high quality service.
You will support the Biochemistry department in various sections of work including automation and specialist areas.
Unfortunately, this role does not meet the criteria required to qualify for sponsorship.
Perform a range of routine and non-routine tasks within a technical pathology service area - Clinical Biochemistry, for example, carrying out routine diagnostic tests or equipment support activities. Update laboratory information systems, for example, patient test requests and records. Undertake reception area duties, including advising patients on access to and use of services. Supervise and/or train less experienced staff in own area of work.
