Summary

SEN Teaching Assistant - Havering
Start: ASAP | Mainstream Primary School with Complex Needs Provision

Remedy Education are supporting a welcoming primary school in Havering who are looking for a confident, caring SEN Teaching Assistant to join their small provision for pupils with more complex needs. These children are currently awaiting specialist placements and require someone patient, calm and genuinely committed to helping them feel understood and supported.

The children in the provision have a range of needs including Autism, ADHD, cognitive delays and limited communication skills. The school has a fantastic team in place, and they're looking for someone who can slot in smoothly, work collaboratively and bring a nurturing, steady presence to the classroom.

Because most of the children are boys and the team is currently all female, the school would ideally love a male TA. However, they are absolutely open to the right person regardless of gender - the priority is finding someone who can meet the children's needs with empathy and consistency.

* Supporting children 1:1 and in small groups within the school's complex-needs provision
* Helping pupils regulate, communicate and engage using clear routines and calm approaches
* Assisting with feeding, toileting and other aspects of personal care when needed
* Working closely with teachers and support staff to ensure consistency and team-based support
* Creating a safe, encouraging environment where pupils can develop confidence and independence
* Celebrating progress - even the smallest steps forward count

* Experience supporting children with ASD, ADHD, communication difficulties or cognitive delays
* Someone confident, patient and resilient, with a genuine passion for helping children flourish
* A strong team player who understands the value of shared communication and consistency
* Someone comfortable providing personal care where required
* An Enhanced DBS or willingness to apply

* Competitive daily pay (paid weekly via Remedy)
* A supportive, friendly team who check in regularly
* Immediate start dates
* Long-term opportunities in wonderful local schools

If you're someone who brings warmth, patience and a steady presence - and you want to make a real difference to children with complex needs - we'd love to hear from you.

Apply today or send us a message, and we'll be in touch right away.
