Summary

Operations Coordinator (Part-Time- 16 hours per week)
Winchester | £15ph / £25,000-£27,300 FTE

We're supporting a fantastic Winchester-based charity to recruit a part‑time Operations & Volunteer Coordinator. This hybrid role is 16 hours per week, with flexibility on working patterns and a regular office day on Tuesdays.

The Role

You'll manage volunteer recruitment and on-boarding, provide admin support, and help keep the office running smoothly. Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for volunteer enquiries
  • Managing the volunteer pipeline, applications, and screening calls
  • Handling on-boarding admin including CRM updates, references, DBS checks, and training compliance
  • Coordinating volunteer training dates, venues, and materials
  • Processing volunteer expenses
  • Liaising with the charity's volunteer fundraising "Cheerleaders"
  • Supporting marketing activity and posting volunteer opportunities online
  • Managing office supplies, equipment contracts, and supplier coordination
  • Handling gift aid submissions, JustGiving income, and petty cash
  • Producing donor thank‑you letters and seasonal mailings
  • Managing shared inboxes

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent people skills and a warm, empathetic approach
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Confident IT user with CRM experience (Salesforce desirable)
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Genuine interest in the charity's work

Desirable:

  • Experience working with or managing volunteers
