Summary
We require a committed personal assistant/carer (PA) to join a small team supporting a 31 year old gentleman to access the community – this role is to provide cover for BANK STAFF - sickness/holidays only.
The gentleman has autism, a severe learning disability, epilepsy and a visual impairment and requires the assistance of 2:1 support at all times.
What you will do:
• Support with all personal care tasks during the daytime including feeding, changing/washes as needed.
• Support to access the community and engage in social and recreational activities providing supervision and support at all times.
• Support to build confidence, independent living skills and wellbeing
• Drive to activities and appointments
Hours of Work
The support will be required Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. (SICKNESS/HOLIDAY COVER ONLY)
You must be able to work as part of a team.
Non smoker
Must have good Punctuality and timekeeping
Epilepsy Training is required
Drivers license and own transport required
Skills required:
Trustworthy, reliable, honest, flexible, caring, kind, consistent, dedicated, able to work part of a team, reliable and punctual and have a great sense of humour.
Experience is not essential as full training will be given but it would be beneficial.
The successful applicant will be subject to an Enhanced DBS Check paid for by the employer.
