Chichester College, part of the Chichester College Group Ref: CC0706 Sports Centre Receptionist (Bank) £15.25 per hour Variable hours We are seeking a friendly, professional, and customer-focused Receptionist to join our Sports Centre team on a bank (casual) basis. This role is ideal for someone with strong customer service skills who enjoys working in a busy, public-facing environment. There will be a requirement to work evenings and weekends. About the Role As the first point of contact for visitors and members, you will play a key role in delivering an excellent customer experience and supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the Sports Centre. Key Responsibilities: Welcoming visitors and members, creating a warm and professional first impression Answering phone and email enquiries and providing accurate information Managing bookings using the leisure booking system Supporting children’s parties, including confirmation calls and on-the-day coordination Processing cash and card payments and completing end-of-shift cash-up duties Assisting with memberships, renewals, and cancellations Handling customer queries and complaints promptly and professionally Carrying out general administrative tasks and maintaining a clean reception area What We’re Looking For: Previous experience in a customer-facing role (essential) Proven verbal and written communication skills Strong organisational skills and attention to detail Confidence using IT systems, including Microsoft Office A positive, professional, and reliable approach to work The ability to work independently and as part of a team Experience in a receptionist or leisure environment is desirable but not essential.
