About the Team
Supporter Fundraising are a vital team within our fundraising department, who manage our involvement in all owned and third-party events, plan and deliver our virtual fundraising campaigns (such as Walk 5K April in 100 Miles in October) and steward and facilitate our community-led fundraising activity. Supporter experience is at the heart of everything we do, which helps us to drive engagement and retention and ultimately allows us to raise more funds to support autistic people and their families.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, dynamic and focused Fundraising Events Manager to lead on the delivery of our most important third-party event: the 2027 London Marathon.
This will be our biggest year ever at the London Marathon, one of the UK’s most iconic fundraising events, and this high-profile role will be responsible for maximising income, engagement and impact. You and your team will manage all aspects of event and partnership delivery, with a focus on ensuring we achieve ambitious fundraising targets by providing exceptional supporter experience and strong brand presence throughout the campaign.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy for the London Marathon 2027, aligned with departmental and organisational objectives
- Manage and motivate a small, dedicated team of London Marathon Event Officers
- Act as the primary liaison with London Marathon Events, ensuring smooth collaboration and build strong relationships with all key stakeholders, sponsors, and event partners
What We’re Looking For
Our London Marathon Event Manager should have:-
- Knowledge and experience of working on the London Marathon in previous roles
- A passion and aptitude for people management including setting objectives and supporting professional development, and fostering a productive, collaborative team environment
- Skills in planning and delivering complex and compliant event logistics, including risk assessments and volunteer management

This advert is for a full time, fixed term position at 35 hours per week.
We are flexible as to location; this role can be homebased, hybrid or office based. Please note thought that the successful candidate must be available to attend a number of out-of-hours events in London throughout the year.
