What does this Support Worker job involve?
Hours of Work:20 - 37.5 Hours Per Week. Shifts: 07:00 - 15:00 / 15:00 - 22:00 - Flexible
This role is to support individuals to live safely and comfortably in their own homes. Daily duties include:
• Assisting with personal care, medication, meal preparation, and mobility support.
• Will also need to provide companionship, encourage independence, follow care plans, and monitor wellbeing.
• Safeguarding and maintaining dignity are central to this role
• Maintaining accurate record-keeping and effective communication with colleagues, managers, and families.
Am I the right person for this Support Worker job?
• A valid driver’s licence is required as travel between service users’ homes is part of the role.
• Access to own vehicle is preferable but company vehicle would be available if required.
• Applicants must be compassionate, reliable, and patient, with a genuine desire to make a difference.
• Good communication skills, a positive attitude, and respect for dignity and person-centred care are essential.
• Flexibility and willingness to learn are highly valued.
