This role is ideal for recent graduates, aspiring teachers, or professionals seeking ad-hoc or short-term work within a dynamic school environment. You will provide vital classroom cover, ensuring students continue to learn effectively even when their regular teacher is away.
The Role: Flexible Classroom ManagementAs a Temporary Cover Supervisor, you will be called upon to manage classrooms on a day-to-day or short-term basis. Your focus is on maintaining a productive atmosphere-no lesson planning or marking is required.

Classroom Supervision: Lead classes across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. You will deliver pre-set work provided by the department and ensure students stay focused.

Adaptability: Be prepared to work across various subjects daily-moving seamlessly between different departments as required.

Behaviour Management: Confidently apply the school's behaviour policy to maintain order and a positive learning environment.

Student Support: Help students navigate their tasks and answer general questions to keep them engaged with the curriculum.

Reporting: Take accurate registers and provide clear, concise feedback for the permanent teacher regarding student progress and conduct.
We need "self-starters" who can walk into a new classroom and immediately command respect.

Confidence & Presence: The ability to lead a room of teenagers with authority and calm.

Excellent Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to build quick rapport with students and staff.

Flexibility: A positive attitude toward changing schedules and the ability to adapt to different school environments.

Experience: Previous experience coaching, mentoring, or working with young people (ages 11-18) is highly desirable.

Reliability: Punctuality and dependability are essential to the school's daily operations.
