This is a full time, hybrid role involving a minimum of 3 x office days per week at our pet-friendly support office in Waltham Abbey (Essex) and up to 2 x days per week from home (or other Jollyes location as preferred). 37.5 hours per week.
The Role – Senior Management Accountant
This role sits within our Finance team. As a Senior Management Account, you will partner closely with the Financial Controller and work cross functionally with operational, commercial, IT and supply chain teams to ensure accurate and insightful financial information. A significant focus will be on leading the budgeting cycle, producing robust 5 year forecasts, and delivering high quality financial analysis that supports long term strategic decision making and business performance alongside supporting the financial controller with monthly and annual reporting.
In terms of success measures, KPI’s will be set around budgeting and forecasting quality, budget cycle timeliness, sensitivity coverage (clarity of scenarios), month end reporting and supporting the FC with board level presentations and KPI packs.

Lead the annual budgeting process, coordinating inputs across all departments.
Develop and maintain detailed financial models to support multi‑year planning and scenario analysis
Regularly update rolling forecasts to reflect business performance, risks and opportunities.
Support month-end and year-end close processes.
Assist in year-end audit and physical inventory counts.
Analyse stock ageing and obsolescence trends.
Support the Financial Controller in preparing board‑level reports and KPI packs
You’ll be responsible for validating information, investigating variances, and providing clear financial insight to support operational efficiency and strengthen internal controls. Your work will enable informed strategic decision‑making through reliable reporting, enhance performance management across the organisation, and contribute to improving overall business outcomes through sound financial planning and analysis.
The Skills – Senior Management Accountant
To be successful in this role, you’ll need the following skills, experience and qualities:

Proven experience in a similar senior finance role, preferably within retail or FMCG environment.
Relevant accounting qualification such as ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent).
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred but not essential).
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (e.g., Sage, SAP).
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
Ability to communicate effectively with non-finance stakeholders.
Organised and able to manage multiple priorities.
