Overview
We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Robotics Event Assistant to support live robot demonstrations at trade shows, exhibitions, and events. This is a part-time, flexible role, working only when we have shows booked. It is ideal for someone who enjoys technology, is willing to learn, and is comfortable working with the public.
You will be trained to operate and manage service robots during events and will work alongside the business owner to ensure smooth, professional demonstrations.
Key Responsibilities
Set up, operate, and monitor robots at trade shows and events
Assist with transporting and preparing equipment
Interact with visitors, answer basic questions, and support demonstrations
Ensure robots are running correctly and safely
Help pack down equipment after events
Represent the company professionally with clients and the public
Working Pattern
Part-time, event-based only
Work is offered when shows and exhibitions are scheduled
Hours may include early starts, evenings, and weekends
Travel to UK event locations required
Training & Support
Full training provided on how to use and manage the robots
Hands-on learning at real trade shows and events
Skills & Requirements
Willingness to learn new technology
Good communication and customer-facing skills
Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions
Comfortable working in busy event environments
Interest in robotics, technology, or events (experience not required)
Desirable (but not essential)
Experience in events, exhibitions, or customer service
Technical or IT interest
