The Role
Eastlight Community Homes has an exciting new Permanent Plumber opening within our Responsive Works team!
As a Plumber for Eastlight, your work will focus on tasks such as major and minor plumbing installations and associated work such as wall tiling, plastering repair works, tank stands, bath panels and frames, floorboard repairs, boxing in pipe work, shelving, sealants, etc.
You’ll also ensure that residents’ homes are safe, well-maintained, and continuously improved, while promoting a positive company image through high-quality workmanship, effective time management, and a customer-focused approach.
In your day-to-day work, you will operate safely, professionally, and courteously, fully complying with Health & Safety legislation, policies, and procedures. You’ll remain mindful of residents’ individual circumstances, reporting any safeguarding concerns through the appropriate channels, and treating customers and their homes with respect and care. Working collaboratively with colleagues across the business, you’ll share ideas for service improvement, uphold Equality and Diversity principles, and conduct yourself in a way that builds trust and confidence with residents, colleagues, and the wider public.
Must haves:
Clean UK Driving License.
NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing or equal demonstrable experience.
Proven experience in the Plumbing trade.
What we offer:
- £34,302 annual base salary
- Full time 37 hours per week, Permanent Contract
- Power tools provided + £75 annually towards your hand tools
- Company van & mileage provided
- 30 days paid annual leave plus bank holidays
- Group stakeholder pension plan (Eastlight will double, up to 5% of the employees contribution - Employee 5% + Eastlight 10% = Total 15%)
- Annual wellbeing grant of £200 per annum – Subject to eligibility
- Trailblazing family leave [Maternity, Paternity and Adoption – 12 weeks full pay / 6 weeks half pay] – Subject to eligibility
