Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a production or manufacturing environment
- Experience on a production line or in a similar operational role
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks accurately
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
- Understanding of quality checks and the importance of accuracy in production
- Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload effectively
- Strong communication skills for customer-facing interactions
- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
- Basic IT skills for logging information and handling queries
- Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
Responsibilities:
As an Line walker, you will:
- Monitor and manage multiple part numbers to support production requirements
- Track vehicle numbers as they move through the production line
- Oversee sequenced parts, ensuring correct parts are available at the correct time
- Order parts for vehicles as required to maintain production flow
- Carry out regular line-side checks to confirm parts availability and accuracy
- Act as a customer-facing contact, supporting production and operational queries
- Provide helpdesk cover when required
- Support production teams by responding to and resolving issues efficiently
- Maintain clear communication between production, logistics, and support teams
- Ensure minimal disruption to the production line by proactive monitoring and action
