Summary
Assistant Production Planner
Full Time, Permanent, Bassetlaw area of Nottinghamshire (Own transport required due to rural location)
Up to £35,000 DOE
Future Prospects Group are proud to be working with a market leader within their sector to recruit a Assistant Production and Inventory Planner on a full time, permanent basis. The Role
The Assistant Production and Inventory Planner will support the Head of Production and Assembly and work closely with the Procurement Assistant. They will be a key contact for assisting in processing productions through to fabrications. They will ensure procurement packs are created using bills of materials and work closely with the procurement assistant to ensure inventory of stock items are available working to the correct schedules. Key duties will include:
Supporting the Head of Department (production & assembly) in developing and maintaining production schedules
Liaise with procurement to ensure all parts and materials are ordered and available in line with production needs
Reviewing Bills of Materials (BOMs) and understand parts requirements
Tracking supplier delivery schedules and proactively follow up to ensure timely arrival of materials
Working closely with Warehouse & Assembly teams to coordinate material availability
Monitoring inventory levels
Inputting and updating data in internal systems to maintain accurate records and reporting information
The Candidate
The successful Assistant Production and Inventory Planner will be able to demonstrate:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
The ability to read and understand engineering drawings
Previous experience of using CAD software
The ability to accurately check quantities; reviewing bills of materials
An excellent telephone manner to talk to both customers/supply chain and colleagues
Good IT skills including the use of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
The ideal Candidate will have experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
