An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a progressive, well-equipped small animal practice in Essex, ideal for a clinician with a strong interest in orthopaedic and surgical veterinary care. This modern practice offers outstanding facilities, including five consulting rooms, a fully equipped operating theatre, digital X-ray and an in-house laboratory, enabling high quality diagnostics and treatment within a busy, supportive environment.
The role provides excellent access to advanced veterinary diagnostics and procedures through a nearby referral hospital offering CT, MRI and endoscopy, with the opportunity for Veterinary Surgeons to follow their own cases through if desired. This creates a seamless clinical experience and supports gold standard patient care. The position allows a high level of clinical autonomy, with the ability to generate your own caseload and run your own clinics, focusing primarily on orthopaedic surgery while maintaining some consulting duties.
You will work as part of a highly skilled and collaborative veterinary team, including certificate holders in ophthalmology, dermatology, internal medicine, cardiology, diagnostic imaging and small animal surgery. This exceptional network provides daily opportunities for case discussion, referral support and continued professional development, making it an ideal role for a Veterinary Surgeon who values teamwork, learning and clinical excellence.
This position would suit an RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon with a certificate in surgery, confident in performing cruciate repair, basic fracture fixation and advanced soft tissue procedures, and keen to develop further within a state-of-the-art practice.
