Position: Storesperson & Van Driver
We are seeking enthusiastic individual with warehouse and van driving experience, looking for a new career challenge within the removals industry, to join a growing team based in Ely, Cambridgeshire.
This is a hands-on role involving warehouse operations, driving and supporting removal and relocation activities for key customers.
Main Roles & Responsibilities:
• Handling, packing, loading, unloading, and storing furniture and goods safely and professionally
• Ensuring all goods are clearly identified using the correct procedures
• Assisting with vehicle loading, routing, reversing (as Banksperson), and equipment care
• Supporting drivers and removal operatives to ensure efficient operations.
• Operating forklift and reach trucks where qualified
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and security within the warehouse
• Ensuring accurate completion of timesheets, inventories, and all relevant documentation
• Completing company training, including furniture handling and ongoing CPD
• Delivering a positive and professional customer service experience
• Adhering to all Health & Safety, manual handling, and traffic regulations
Experience & Qualifications:
• Full UK drivers’ licence (no more than 3 points) – Essential
• Forklift licence – Essential
• Experience in warehousing, removals and delivery work– Essential
• Previous removals sector experience - Desirable
• Excellent customer service and organisational skills – Essential
• Previous warehouse/ Forklift experience – Desirable
Remuneration & Benefits Package:
• Salary – £32,760 per annum
• Days - Normal days of work: Monday to Friday.
• Hours - 50 hours per week (weekdays) times can vary depending on the job and can finish late on occasion.
• Occasional weekends at increased rates when required
• Based out of the Ely depot
• Permanent, full-time
• 25 days holiday + 8 bank holiday
