Management Accountant

Location: Lichfield - Hybrid – 1 day in office per week
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £36,000 - £42,000

I’m working with a well-established organisation to recruit a Management Accountant to join their finance team on a permanent basis. This is a key role supporting senior finance leadership with accurate reporting, insightful analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.

The Role

Reporting to the Management Accounts Manager, responsibilities will include:

Producing timely, accurate monthly management accounts
Analysing variances against budget and forecast, including income and cost drivers
Providing financial insight on income streams and performance
Ownership and maintenance of balance sheet reconciliations
Managing and supporting the fixed asset portfolio and fixed asset register
Supporting annual budgeting and quarterly VAT returns
Identifying risks, opportunities and cost-saving initiatives
Supporting and contributing to finance-led projects and process improvements
Driving continuous improvement across reporting, controls and systems
Supporting internal stakeholders with P&L, income and procurement-related queries
Ensuring finance policies, controls and accounting standards are adhered to

About You

Part or fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage large datasets
Advanced Excel skills
Confident communicator, comfortable working with senior stakeholders
Proactive mindset with a strong focus on continuous improvement
