We are currently recruiting for a Reactive Maintenance Coordinator to join a busy Technical Services team based in Eccles. This is a key operational role acting as the central point of contact between clients, management, and mobile engineers, ensuring reactive and planned maintenance works are managed efficiently and within agreed service levels.
Salary & Benefits
Salary: £31,000 – £37,000 per annum (DOE)
Hours: 8.00am - 5.00pm Monday - Friday (1 hour lunch)
Holiday: 23 days holiday plus bank holidays
Pension: Company pension scheme
Parking: Free on-site parking
Key Responsibilities
Log and manage a high volume of reactive maintenance requests received via phone, email, and CAFM systems
Assess and prioritise incoming jobs based on urgency and service level agreements (SLAs)
Allocate and schedule work to the appropriate engineers, ensuring effective use of resources
Coordinate daily workloads and dispatch engineers with full job details, materials requirements, and site access information
Act as the main communication link between engineers, the internal admin team, clients, and management
Provide regular updates on job progress and completion status
Proactively resolve issues such as delays, access problems, or material shortages to support timely job completion
Skills and Experience Required
Previous experience in a helpdesk, scheduling, coordination, or similar role within maintenance, facilities management, construction, or a related environment
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced, reactive setting
Excellent IT skills, including strong Excel capability and experience using CAFM or scheduling systems
Confident and clear communicator, comfortable liaising with clients, engineers, and internal teams
Proactive, customer-focused approach with a strong team-player mindset

This position is predominantly administrative and operational, focusing on the efficient coordination and deployment of engineering resources to respond to immediate and unplanned maintenance requirements while maintaining high levels of service delivery.
