Trainee Tiler / Tiling Assistant – Full On-Site Training Provided

Tile Easy is a growing local tiling business looking to take on a reliable, motivated trainee who wants to learn a proper trade from the ground up.
This role is ideal for a school leaver or someone with no experience who wants hands-on training on real jobs, not classroom learning.
--Working hours / flexibility--
-This role can be full-time or part-time.
-Some days may not be required due to very small jobs or short site visits.
-Working days will be confirmed in advance wherever possible.
-Ideal for someone who is flexible and understands trade work can vary.
--About the role--
You will work directly alongside the business owner, learning all aspects of wall and floor tiling including:
-Site preparation
-Mixing adhesives and grout
-Tile cutting
-Setting out
-Keeping jobs clean, tidy, and safe
-Professional behaviour in customers’ homes
-No experience is required — full on-the-job training is provided.
--Probation period--
-This role includes a 1-month probation period, which may be extended up to 3 months if needed.
-During probation, performance, attitude, punctuality, and suitability for the trade will be assessed.
--Pay--
-Pay will start at the legal minimum wage for your age
-Pay will increase as skills, responsibility, and independence increase
-Regular reviews as you progress
--Uniform & clothing--
During probation, you must wear appropriate work clothing suitable for a building site but also smart as you will be in customers homes.
After successfully completing probation, Tile Easy will provide uniform, including:
-Branded workwear
-Starter pair of work trousers
-Starter pair of Safety boots

-Physically fit and happy with manual work
-Respectful in customers’ homes
-Flexible with working days
-Interested in learning a long-term trade
-This is not a short-term labouring role, it’s a long-term opportunity for the right person.-

The long-term goal for the right person is progression to:
-Running jobs independently
-Having their own company signwritten van
-Eventually becoming a business partner, running jobs alongside the business owner.
