What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking enthusiastic, conscientious individuals who have great attention to detail and the ability to self-motivate and work well within a busy and effective team. This post offers fulfilment in knowing that the work you do makes a positive difference in supporting the schools’ pupils and staff and offers the opportunity to join a well-established team of professional school cleaners.
Working two hours per day during term time and INSET days plus one week’s holiday deep- cleaning as arranged with the Site and Resources Manager, this post offers a permanent post with in-house training for all mandatory courses, such as Safeguarding, KCSIE and COSHH.
Candidates will need to demonstrate the following:
• Ability to work effectively and supportively as a member of the Cleaning Team
• Ability to work in an organised and methodical manner with minimal supervision
• Ability to act on own initiative, dealing with unexpected issues when they arise and being able to problem solve effectively
• The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a good practical aptitude, being able to carry out routine cleaning in all areas of the school including toilets and sports halls. Experience is desirable but training will be provided for the ideal candidate
• This post can be physically demanding at times and candidates would need to be able to carry out their duties effectively and thoroughly, with use of equipment and machinery as required
