Summary
Skilled (Car, Van, Commercial) Tyre FitterLocation: Ipswich Holiday 28 day inc bank holidaysMonday – Friday: 08:00 – 17:30 (1-hour unpaid lunch)Alternate Saturdays: 08:00 – 17:00 (1-hour unpaid lunch)Weekly total: 46.5 hours£38k per annum plus call out and overtimeTyre Technician – Key Responsibilities and DutiesReport directly to the Tyre Department Manager and work closely with the Office Team.Carry out the fitting, repair, and replacement of tyres across a wide range of vehicles and equipment, including Commercial vehicles, LCVs, Cars, Industrial, Agricultural, and OTR machinery.Work independently on assigned jobs, ensuring all tasks are completed safely and to the required standard.Travel to and from customer locations and job sites as required.Accurately use HB Commercial’s internal technology platforms to record customer details, job information, and completion data, ensuring timely submission to Head Office.Liaise with other HB Commercial departments to support repairs and servicing on internal jobs.Maintain the mobile fitting van to a high standard, ensuring it is fully stocked and that weekly vehicle and tool inspection forms are completed.Take responsibility for all tools, equipment, and workwear provided, ensuring they are maintained correctly and that any damage or loss is reported to the line manager on the same day.Follow all business processes and complete required documentation in line with workplace procedures.Accurately record all stock movements and immediately report any discrepancies or issues to the line manager.Be available and fully prepared while on call, ensuring mobile phone coverage at all times and promptly notifying the line manager of any issues affecting availability.Qualifications:- Previous experience as a Tyre Fitter- Knowledge of tyre fitting equipment- Strong attention to detailThis role is for Days, providing you with a great work-life balance.
