Summary
HGV Truck TechnicianLocation: Ipswich Holiday 22 day exc. Bank holidayShift 40 hrs per week Monday – Friday 6 – 2 / 12-8Days 42.5 hrs per week Monday – Friday hours may vary£18 – 20 per hour depending on experienceTruck Technician - Key Responsibilities and DutiesCarry out inspections, routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of vehicles.Diagnose and identify faults using a variety of diagnostic techniques and equipment.Complete thorough vehicle inspections in line with ‘O’ Licence requirements.Prepare vehicles for MOT testing, ensuring they are presented to the required standard.Follow recognised and manufacturer-approved repair processes, including completing complex repair procedures.Test and confirm the correct operation of repaired or newly fitted components.Carry out road tests before and after repairs when required.Interpret diagnostic data and readouts accurately, including the effective use of wiring diagrams.Obtain and apply up-to-date diagnostic and repair information as needed.Report faults in line with company procedures and recommend appropriate further actions.Complete all documentation accurately and in accordance with workplace and business processes.Contribute to maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient workshop environment.Work closely with Service Advisors, Foremen, Parts staff, and workshop colleagues to ensure the efficient flow of work.Maintain clear, timely, and effective internal communication across all relevant departments.Qualifications:- Valid UK driving license- Knowledge of driving laws and regulations NVQ Level 3 in Motor Vehicle Service and Repair - Previous experience as a Vehicle TechnicianTo apply, please complete the online application form at workchain.co.uk..
