Summary
Your new company
Our client is a global leader in professional kitchen and foodservice technology designs and manufactures industry‑leading equipment used by restaurants, hospitality groups, retailers, and major operators worldwide. With a heritage dating back to 1929, they combine deep culinary expertise with engineering innovation to deliver high‑performance, energy‑efficient, and digitally connected kitchen solutions. Their portfolio includes a wide range of premium brands known for reliability, smart systems, and intuitive design, helping customers improve efficiency, reduce operating costs, and elevate the overall kitchen experience. The business operates across more than 100 countries and forms part of a larger international group recognised for investing in next‑generation technology, sustainability, and continuous product innovation.
Your new role
In this role, you'll take global responsibility for transforming a connected product ecosystem into a commercially successful, customer‑centric suite of digital services. You'll shape how connectivity, cloud platforms and data-driven features evolve, turning technical capability into compelling propositions that genuinely enhance how customers operate. Working across a shared ecosystem with an external platform partner, you'll influence strategy and direction while delivering through collaboration rather than full in‑house ownership.
You'll build the commercial strategy behind connected products, defining how features, services and subscriptions are packaged, priced and taken to market. Your work will translate engineering possibilities into clear customer value, ensuring new releases land with purpose and measurable impact. A key element is building and maintaining a strong data foundation, standardising models, taxonomies and telemetry so analytics, automation and future AI capabilities can scale globally.
The role also gives you scope to shape the next wave of advanced digital opportunities. You'll help define predictive maintenance, performance insights and other AI-driven features, ensuring the business invests in the right use cases with the strongest commercial returns. Alongside this, you'll drive activation, conversion and long‑term retention, using data to identify revenue opportunities and refine propositions over time.
Customer experience is central, ensuring every touchpoint, from onboarding to ongoing engagement, is seamless and intuitive. You'll collaborate with marketing, service and product teams to articulate the benefits of connectivity and support the creation of content that helps users adopt and get value from digital tools. Staying close to market trends, competitor activity and emerging technologies, you'll provide insight and recommendations that shape the roadmap and strengthen the organisation's digital leadership.
Success requires strong cross‑functional influence. You'll bring together engineering, product management, service teams and partner organisations to ensure alignment and delivery, playing a meaningful role in trials, testing and phased rollouts. While you won't directly own the on‑device interface, you'll provide input on where it connects with digital services to ensure the overall experience is cohesive and user‑centred. Throughout, you'll use data and performance metrics to drive decision‑making, refine priorities and show clear progress against commercial objectives.
What you'll need to succeed
We're looking for someone who has a proven track record in commercialising connected or IoT products, SaaS platforms or wider digital ecosystems. You'll need to be confident operating in environments where data models, telemetry and digital foundations underpin everything-from AI and prediction through to advanced analytics, and you should understand how these components come together to create scalable, high‑value digital services. Experience working across shared ecosystems, where success relies on influencing internal teams and external partners without full ownership, will be essential.
You'll bring a strong grasp of subscription-led business models, recurring revenue strategies and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear commercial outcomes. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills are key, particularly when working across global teams. Above all, you'll be passionate about digital transformation and customer experience, with a drive to deliver measurable value through connectivity and data-led innovation.
