Summary

Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Location: Rochester
Shift Pattern: Mon-Fri - 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm (rotating shift)

We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a dynamic manufacturing team in Rochester. This role is ideal for a proactive engineer with strong electrical expertise, ready to take responsibility for maintaining and improving machinery performance across the site. You will handle both reactive and planned maintenance, manage Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules using MaintainX, and coordinate with contractors to ensure machinery is serviced and operating safely.

In addition, you will manage spare parts inventory, oversee service documentation, and carry out routine safety inspections. You will support the production team, contribute to improvement projects, and participate in our Out of Hours Call Out rota, ensuring a collaborative and efficient working environment.

What we're looking for:

  • Completed Electrical Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.

  • 17th or 18th Edition desirable.

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience with Mitsubishi PLCs and HMIs.

  • Knowledge of electric motors, pneumatics, and basic mechanical systems.

  • Commitment to a safety-first culture and ability to work independently.

Desirable:

  • Experience with Fanuc or ABB Robotics Programming.

  • Familiarity with CNC Programming or Siemens PLCs & HMIs.
