Summary
The EFFP is responsible for ensuring site compliance, on behalf of the Head of Establishment, with fire legislation, policy and guidance by achievement of the following key tasks, which will include but are not limited to:
Support the Head of Establishments intent for Fire Safety in accordance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 - Part 2 Fire Safety Duties.
Manage both the Royal Air Force Lossiemouth Fire Safety Management System (FSMS) and associated FSMS Building Database.
Manage and coordinate building fire inspections and any remedial work that is required in line with Building Custodians.
Manage and coordinate the Station Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations Database.
Coordinate and act as the focal point for 1PA/2PA/3PA. Conduct 1PA inspections in-line with the EFFP inspections schedule.
Collaborate with other Station Safety functions to enable best practice and report to the Total Safety Board.
Attend the Station Health and Safety Environmental and Fire Safety Committee. Attend bi-monthly EFFP Meetings hosted by Air Safety Centre Fire Safety Team.
Ensure that the Site-Specific Risk Information Plans are reviewed annually.
Own the Station Standing Order Fire Safety Order and review it on a minimum annual basis.
Carry out reasonable associated Health and Safety duties commensurate with the grade.
