Job description
Networks Cloud Platform Owner is responsible for overseeing the direction, development, integration and management of a technology platform or a platform feature, developing and maintain the Cloud network Backlog. They are responsible for ensuring integration and performance of the microservices, modules and products within the platform. They will role model leadership behaviours and values and inspire their teams to develop and to grow internal talent.
This role sits within the Chief Digital Information Officer (CDIO) Chief Platform Office, Network Services Team. We have undergone a major transition to a Managed Service Provider and this role is key to supporting its success.

Roles and Responsibilities:
The Networks Cloud Platform Owner will be the conduit between the CDIO platform teams and 3rd Party Suppliers including the network Managed Service Provide (MSP) for everything relating to cloud networks and cloud network tooling.
Manage a platform or platform feature, setting priorities and leadership for the platform team.
With the Lead Platform Owner and Network architects, develop the strategic roadmap of the end-to-end lifecycle of the platform, platform feature and services, responsible for ensuring the maintenance and continuous improvement of the platform.
Work closely with Networks Lead Platform Owner and wider Platform Owners to ensure there is a coordinated and seamless strategic plan for platforms and platform features within their function.
Lead engagement with customer stakeholders to understand and inform the business and CDIO strategic priorities and to reflect these in the platform plans.
Work with the platform and product teams to continually seek ways to improve the customer experience and deliver high quality, cost-effective, added value platform service and functionality.
Utilise insight from the Customer Relationship Management teams to identify and deliver creative solutions that address customer needs and develop the platforms.
Engage with external networks and Cloud industry relationships to understand trends and best practice.
Grow strategic third-party relationships identifying opportunities to further benefit from the knowledge, expertise, and services of third parties.
Work with other professions leads and teams across HMRC to promote user centred and agile ways of working, and to ensure the model for multidisciplinary teams works effectively.
Work in partnership with Practice Owners/ Managers to ensure matrix managed colleagues understand their roles and task responsibilities.
To champion high performance, line managing, coaching, and mentoring platform teams.
Essential Criteria:
Experience of developing strategic technical Cloud solutions, navigating ambiguity, and operating at a strategic level within complex organisations.
Experienced in Cloud platform/ product ownership and leading a team on an outcome-based backlog and roadmap.
An in-depth understanding and experience of working within an ITIL4 organisation, driving end to end value creation and continuous improvement.
Deep applied understanding and experience of emerging trends around Cloud and Data Centre platform technologies.
Proven track record in defining, managing, and then delivering technical IT organisational change, including capability and professional development, within a large and complex organisation.
A track record of providing empowering leadership of multiple disciplines to teams dispersed across multiple locations.
Demonstrative ability of successful stakeholder management and building relationships across a range of senior communities, internal and external, often without direct authority.
Leading teams through times of change and fostering a positive and inclusive culture of trust and autonomy.
Ability to respond to change with agility and lead teams with a strong and compelling vision for the future.
The ability to develop an ambitious vision for your team and continuously improving services.
