We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Cleaning Manager to oversee cleaning and housekeeping services across two key HSBC sites in Edinburgh and Motherwell.
Job Description
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast paced, client focused environment and is confident leading teams, managing performance, and maintaining exceptional service standards.
As Cleaning Manager, you will be responsible for delivering a world class cleaning and facilities experience across both sites. You will lead a team of around 10 -15 cleaners and supervisors, alongside janitorial staff, working across morning, evening and occasional night shifts.
This is a hands on leadership role requiring strong organisation, excellent communication, and the ability to build positive relationships with both staff and client stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, motivate and inspire cleaners, supervisors and janitors.
Handle day to day client interactions, ensuring a proactive and solutions focused approach.
Conduct regular audits, inspections and performance checks, ensuring actions are completed on time.
Monitor service KPIs, standards and contractual deliverables.
Respond to incidents, escalations and service challenges professionally.
Ensure correct use of cleaning products, chemicals and equipment, including all required training.
Manage team training, onboarding and ongoing development.
Support engagement, communication and team culture through meetings, huddles and coaching.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Proven experience managing cleaning teams across multiple sites.
Strong understanding of cleaning processes, equipment and compliance standards.
Confident people manager with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
Excellent communication skills and client facing experience.
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage performance and KPIs.
Computer literate with experience using Microsoft Office.
Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle (business mileage fully expensed).
