Summary
Purpose
Support pupils’ learning in class, small groups, and one‑to‑one sessions.
Ensure pupils can fully access lessons and make expected progress.
Maintain high standards of behaviour in line with organisational procedures.
Act as a role model, setting high expectations and encouraging self‑reliance.
Key Responsibilities
Provide tailored learning support for named pupils.
Clarify tasks, prepare resources, and respond to pupil queries.
Collaborate with teachers, pastoral leads, specialists, and parents.
Support with break/lunch duties, first aid (training provided), exam invigilation, school visits, and inclusion room supervision.
Keep records, meet deadlines, and maintain safeguarding responsibilities.
Assist with the induction of new pupils.
Carry out additional tasks as required to support the SEND team.
