Hours: Full Time
Hours per Week: Mon-Fri, 7:30am – 5pm

Please note ** Reactive weekend cover is required for emergency repairs and maintenance, 12 weekends of the year (flexible/hybrid for weekend work only).

Role Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and reliable individual with an interest in the Repairs and Maintenance sector to join our team. This is an office-based role that requires frequent computer and telephone use to assist in coordinating contractors and sourcing materials to support repairs and development projects across our garden centres. Experience working in building, plumbing or electrical merchants is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.

Key responsibilities:
Collaborate with repairs and development team to ensure projects are delivered on time within a budget.
Source and procure materials required for ongoing repairs and development work.
Coordinate with contractors, ensuring they meet quality and compliance standards.
Maintain clear communication with garden centre teams to address site specific needs.
Maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate competitive pricing for materials.
Carry out and document checks to maintain compliance standards
Ensure all health and safety (H&S) records are accurate and up to date


Qualifications and skills:
Strong organisation and time management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
Familiarity with procurement processes and contractor management
Experience working in building merchants, plumbing or electrical industries (Not essential).
Knowledge and understanding of H&S regulations and compliance procedures (desirable) (training provided)
Problem-solving mind-set and use one’s initiative
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office SUITE (Word, Excel, Outlook).
