Part Time Variable Hours Tutor of GCSE Maths Hours: part-time variable Hourly rate: £26.51 (unqualified)* or £27.68 (qualified)* inclusive of holiday pay.Plus, membership of Teachers’ Pension Scheme*the base hourly rate is £17.10 (unqualified) / £17.86 (qualified) per hour, plus payment for holiday and preparation and marking time, which gives an approximate hourly rate of £26.51 (unqualified) / £27.68 (qualified) per hour.About the roleAre you passionate about Mathematics and committed to helping learners succeed? We’re looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Mathematics tutor to join our team, focusing on GCSE classes for 16-18-year-old students. In this role, you’ll do more than teach-you’ll inspire confidence, spark curiosity, and support learners in reaching their full academic potential. Your guidance will play a vital role in helping students progress and take the next steps toward their future goals.If you would like to apply for this post please submit your application as soon as possible, as applications will be reviewed as they are received.About the PersonYou’ll bring a strong foundation in Mathematics, holding at least a Level 3 qualification, with a relevant degree (or equivalent) highly desirable. A recognised Level 5/6 teaching qualification (PGCE/CertEd) is desirable, or you’ll be ready to work towards one with our support.We’re looking for an enthusiastic, adaptable, and innovative teacher with experience delivering GCSE Mathematics, ideally within an FE setting. Familiarity with the new 9-1 GCSE Mathematics specification and experience teaching GCSE Mathematics and Level 1 & 2 Functional Skills (post-2019) to diverse learners will set you apart.Beyond subject expertise, you’ll demonstrate excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, thrive in a collaborative environment, and show a strong commitment to teamwork, high-quality teaching, and student success.
