Summary

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Rhondda Cynon Taf to assist with the appointment of a Court Usher & Admin Assistant, on a 2-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £12.85 - £16.81 per hour

Summary:

The Court Usher & Administrative Assistant will support the Coroners Service Manager and administrative team in delivering an efficient and professional service to all service users. The role involves assisting with the smooth running of Coroners Court inquests, supporting court proceedings, managing remote attendance systems, and undertaking general administrative duties within the Coroners Office.

Responsibilities:

Provide Court Usher support to assist the Coroner in the smooth running of inquests.
Chaperone visitors attending inquests, explaining court procedures and responding to queries as appropriate.
Manage the Court Recording System and remote attendance systems, including Microsoft Teams.
Assist the Coroner with swearing in witnesses and opening inquests.
Create and distribute Microsoft Teams links for remote court attendance.
Carry out general administrative duties, including scanning, filing, and archiving documents.

Essentials:

Experience of working in an office or administrative environment.
Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with service users and colleagues.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Organised and able to manage multiple tasks in a confidential and sensitive environment.
