About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Home Trainer to join our nursing care home team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality training to ensure staff are competent, confident, and compliant with regulatory standards, enabling us to provide outstanding care to our residents.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver induction training for new starters
• Plan, deliver, and evaluate mandatory and statutory training
• Support staff development through ongoing training and coaching
• Ensure compliance with CQC standards and company policies
• Maintain accurate training records and reports
• Identify training needs and contribute to continuous improvement
• Support managers with audits and quality assurance
• Keep training materials up to date with best practice and legislation
Requirements
• Previous experience as a Trainer in a health or social care setting is preferred
• Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and mandatory care training
• Relevant qualification (e.g. Level 3 Award in Education and Training or equivalent)
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to motivate and engage staff at all levels
• Good organisational and IT skills
Desirable
• Nursing care home experience
• Assessor/Internal Quality Assurer qualification
• Moving & Handling / First Aid / Safeguarding Trainer certifications
