Summary
Building Services Engineer - Plumber
Location: Rochdale
Hours: 37.5 per week (Mon-Fri, 6:00am-7:00pm)
Salary: £35,000 + Van & benefits

Provide high-quality plumbing maintenance across commercial buildings

Deliver both reactive repairs and planned preventative maintenance (PPM)

Repair leaks, blockages, pipework, valves, taps, and sanitary fittings

Maintain water systems, drainage, external areas, and plant rooms
-
Respond to emergency call-outs and participate in an on-call rota

Ensure compliance with health & safety, water hygiene, and statutory regulations

Accurately log all tasks, time, and materials using the client's CAFM system

Support minor installations, refurbishments, and upgrade works

Liaise with contractors and issue permits to work when required

City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing (or equivalent)

Proven experience within a commercial or FM environment

Good knowledge of water regulations and Legionella controls

Strong communication skills with a proactive, customer-focused approach

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Full UK driving licence and willingness to obtain DBS clearance
