Location: Cheltenham, Gloucestershire
Hours: 48 hours per week, 5 shifts per week (Night shifts, typically 22:00 - 03:00)
Salary: £35,284.60 per annum + £20 per week driving safety bonus
Contract Type: Temp to Perm (12 Weeks)
We are seeking a reliable and motivated HGV Driver to join our team at the Cheltenham Depot. This is a Class 2 / Category C position, ideal for experienced drivers or newly qualified individuals looking to build a career in HGV driving.
The Role:
As an HGV Driver, you will be responsible for multi-drop deliveries in a temperature-controlled environment, ensuring safe, accurate, and timely deliveries. You will also maintain excellent customer service while representing the company on the road.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate HGV vehicles (Category C) in compliance with UK driving laws, Driver CPC, and tachograph regulations
Complete multi-drop deliveries, ensuring stock rotation and maintaining product quality
Perform daily vehicle checks and report any defects
Load and unload products safely, including manual handling
Follow health & safety, food hygiene, and security procedures
Work independently, maintaining strong customer relationships
Provide cover for colleagues during holidays or absences
What We're Looking For:
Full UK driving licence - Category C essential
Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
Physically fit and able to undertake manual handling
Strong communication skills and customer-first attitude
Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and bank holidays
Newly qualified drivers welcome - full training provided
Working Pattern:
Most rounds commence between 22:00 and 03:00
No routes from Saturday PM into Sunday AM
