An exciting opportunity for an ambitious Veterinary Surgeon to join a progressive 24-hour veterinary hospital in Shrewsbury. This an excellent opportunity to work within a diverse, well-supported clinical environment while continuing to develop your skills.

The Role:

This Veterinary Surgeon position offers exposure to a wide-ranging caseload, including soft tissue surgery, orthopaedics, emergency and critical care, and complex medical cases. The hospital operates with dedicated teams managing both incoming cases and inpatients, allowing vets to focus on delivering exceptional clinical care.

The successful candidate will work alongside an experienced and collaborative clinical team, including certificate holders in surgery, within a culture that actively promotes learning, development, and shared decision-making.

The Practice:

A state-of-the-art, 24-hour veterinary hospital featuring:

• Two fully equipped theatre suites (including one for advanced procedures)
• A dedicated dental suite
• Separate dog and cat wards, supporting feline-friendly practice
• Five modern consulting rooms
• A varied and stimulating caseload

There is no traditional hierarchy; the team operates within a supportive, inclusive culture where every contribution is valued and clinical excellence is a shared goal.

The rota:

• 4-day week
• Only 2 in 9 weekends
• Shared bank holiday rota
