Care Assistant (days). Oak Springs Care Home

Pay Rate: £12.26 per hour
Shift pattern: 8am-8pm including some weekend working
Contract: 4 days per week (44 hour contract) available

Our modern, 74-bed home is thoughtfully designed across three floors, offering a warm, vibrant, and engaging environment where residents are empowered to live life to the fullest. With a wide range of amenities, including music rooms, beauty salons, serene lounges, and tranquil courtyards, we focus on creating a holistic and fulfilling experience for our residents.

Your Role as a Care Assistant

As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring our residents receive the highest quality of care while promoting their independence, dignity, and individuality. Your responsibilities will include:

Delivering Personalized Care: Assisting residents with daily routines, including personal hygiene, dressing, meals, and mobility, ensuring their preferences and dignity are respected.
Fostering Emotional Well-Being: Building meaningful relationships, providing emotional support, and creating a welcoming and comforting atmosphere for residents and their families.
Encouraging Engagement: Supporting residents in pursuing hobbies, social activities, and sensory engagement tailored to their interests and abilities.
Maintaining High Standards: Ensuring cleanliness, safety, and a positive environment across the care home while adhering to regulatory and organizational standards.
Team Collaboration: Working closely with colleagues to ensure seamless care delivery, promptly addressing any changes in residents' needs or concerns.
Professional Development: Participating in ongoing training to enhance your skills and knowledge, staying up to date with best practices in health and social care.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking compassionate and enthusiastic individuals who share our passion for delivering exceptional care. The ideal candidate will have:

A positive and empathetic attitude, with a genuine desire to improve the lives of others.
Experience in health and social care is highly desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Flexibility and reliability to work shifts, including weekends, as part of a rota.
Strong communication and teamwork skills to build trusting relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
