Reporting to the Maintenance Officer, the maintenance team makes sure that we have a clean and well-maintained environment so that residents feel at home and staff can do their jobs well.

What you'll be doing

- Ensure the home and grounds are kept in a good state of repair and residents have access to all appropriate areas
- Compliance with Health and Safety legislation throughout the home, including reporting of H&S incidents
- Carry out day to day repairs and some refurbishment activity to maintain standards in the care home
- Actively engage with staff, relatives and families as part of the care home team and regularly engage with residents
- Ensuring that regular safety checks and servicing is carried out on all equipment and accurate records are kept.
- Having excellent communication with the Home Manager and also the Residents

About You:

- Proven experience in maintenance and repair work
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Able to demonstrate Health and Safety awareness through discussion
- To share our values and demonstrate them at all times
- “Can-Do” flexible team worker, problem fixer, passion for what they do, ability to manage diverse and demanding workload, think out of the box, open to doing things differently
