Treloar’s is a charity which runs one of the UK’s largest specialist education centres for young disabled people to live and learn. Through our school and college, we offer students the opportunity to fully take part in life and achieve their aspirations.

We are looking to recruit a new Residential Manager for one of our 6 on site residential student houses. You’ll be working alongside 5 experienced residential managers as well as our Head of Residential Services. You will also be supported by our Head of Safeguarding, with access to 24 hour safeguarding advice and support.

As an integral part of the department, you will be expected to ensure provision of high-quality holistic care to our students, ensuring their educational, personal and social care needs are met. You will be working as a member of a true multi-disciplinary team delivering high quality care to students enabling them to achieve their full potential.

You will need to possess a qualification acceptable to the Care Quality Commission for the management of a care home for young adults (Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management Adult Care or NVQ 4 in Management and Care, or RMA) and will have substantial experience in the residential care of young people or people with disabilities. Equally important is your ability to lead, inspire and motivate a large staff team to ensure that the standard of care provided is outstanding.

To be successful in this post you will need excellent organisational and management skills; the ability to rise to the challenge when the pressure is on; and of course, possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

This role requires you to live onsite during term time (plus 1 week of the holiday) therefore we offer a heavily subsidised accommodation package which includes:

Onsite 3-bed house
Families are welcome to live onsite with you
An allowance paid to cover utility bills
Reasonable moving expenses covered
We offer:

£42,708 - £45,347 per annum (dependant on experience) plus onsite accommodation package including 3-bed house
Term time only plus 1 week of holiday working, in line with Hampshire Country Council holidays
Health Cash Plan and Perkbox discount scheme
Life insurance, critical illness scheme, pension scheme & occupational health scheme
Excellent training and development opportunities
Free wellbeing activities (e.g., gym/Pilates)
Free parking
