Summary

Do you have proven experience managing and coordinating temporary works on major infrastructure or high?hazard projects?
Are you fully eligible to obtain Security Clearance (SC) due to the sensitive nature of the project?
Can you demonstrate strong technical capability in temporary works design, compliance, and stakeholder coordination?

The Opportunity
A major Nuclear infrastructure project in the South East is seeking an experienced Temporary Works Engineer to join the site team on a permanent basis. This role is central to ensuring all temporary works are designed, implemented and managed safely, efficiently and in full compliance with UK construction standards.

Your duties and responsibilities will be

- Coordinate and supervise all categories of temporary works, ensuring safe erection, use, maintenance and dismantling.
- Plan, delegate and organise tasks in line with the temporary works schedule.
- Liaise with clients, designers and contractors to ensure temporary works are designed, checked and delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications and safety requirements.
- Manage and monitor temporary works activities to ensure compliance with project HSEQ policies.
- Maintain and regularly review the Temporary Works Register, ensuring all works and associated risk levels are accurately captured.
- Assess proposed changes in materials or construction methods and ensure agreed modifications are implemented correctly.
- Collaborate closely with Site Engineering and Installation teams.
- Develop technical solutions to support installation and associated temporary works.
- Produce safe, compliant and cost?effective temporary works designs.
- Submit material requirements to procurement and logistics in a timely manner.
- Ensure adherence to UK construction codes, standards and best practice.
- Coordinate with multi?location and multi?national project teams.
- Contribute to Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
