At M Group Highways, we’re supporting the safe transportation and movement of people across the UK.

You’ll be joining our Highways maintenance team, as the UK’s number one highway maintenance contractor, our teams use the latest innovations to create effective solutions. We offer a range of services including planned and reactive maintenance and highway improvement schemes.

What will you be doing?
- Deliver services in line with contract requirements, ensuring client and customer satisfaction.
- Plan, supervise, and execute work to specifications, within agreed time, cost, and quality limits.
- Maintain focus on operational margins from planning to onsite delivery through effective management.
- Ensure Health & Safety compliance for staff and supply chain partners; deliver SWHEQ briefings and toolbox talks.
- Adhere to operational procedures and policies, recording all changes and costs accurately.
- Set and monitor performance objectives; provide training, development, and mentoring for staff and apprentices.
- Maintain regular internal communication and monitor quality compliance for audits.
- Manage vehicles, plant, and promote continuous improvement within the depot.
- Participate in emergency and winter maintenance as required.
What you’ll bring
- Experienced in construction delivery and workforce supervision with strong commercial awareness for cost control and efficiencies.
- Highway maintenance experience desirable; CSCS, NRSWA, and SSSTS/SMSTS preferred.
- Skilled in team leadership, motivation, and influencing; excellent customer and stakeholder relationship management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with solid IT skills.
- Flexible, adaptable, and able to drive change across teams and delivery.
