Summary

Rikama Education are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to prepare, serve and clear food within a local school

Working hours - 10am-2pm

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for food preparation and presentation. This role involves supervising kitchen operations, managing food production, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and hospitality are maintained at all times. The Chef will play a pivotal role in creating innovative menus, training staff, and maintaining a welcoming environment for guests.

Duties:

- Working Hours 10am -2pm
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to quality standards.
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training and development of team members .
- Prepare, and present a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards .
- Develop new menu items in collaboration with management to enhance customer satisfaction .
- Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards in compliance with health regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control efficiently.
- Ensure all food production meets quality specifications and presentation standards .
- Assist in serving guests when required, providing excellent hospitality service .
- Lead by example to foster a positive team environment focused on teamwork and professionalism .

Qualifications:

- Proven experience in a culinary or restaurant environment with a strong background. in food preparation and cooking .
- Supervising experience within a busy kitchen or hospitality setting.
- Excellent knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively .
- Experience in menu development, food presentation, and culinary innovation .
- Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure.
- Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable .
- Knowledge of hospitality standards related to serving guests and maintaining customer satisfaction .
- A passion for culinary arts with continuous professional development in food production and kitchen management.
