Job Description: Salaried General Practitioner (GP) at New Collegiate Medical Centre Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Salaried General Practitioner (GP) to join our well-established and thriving general practice in the United Kingdom. As a Salaried GP, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality primary healthcare services to our patients. Your responsibilities will include diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical conditions, managing chronic diseases, and offering preventative care. You will work collaboratively with our multi-disciplinary team to deliver comprehensive healthcare services to our diverse patient population. Responsibilities: 1. Provide comprehensive medical care to patients within the general practice, including consultations, physical examinations, and diagnosing and treating acute and chronic illnesses. 2. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations. 3. Develop and implement personalized care plans for patients, taking into consideration their medical history, lifestyle, and preferences. 4. Manage a varied caseload, including complex and long-term conditions, and coordinate with specialists and other healthcare professionals as needed. 5. Promote health education and preventive measures to patients, empowering them to make informed decisions regarding their healthcare. 6. Collaborate with the practice team, including nurses, physicians associates, pharmacists, and administrative staff, and training GPs to ensure efficient and coordinated care delivery. 7. Referrals should be completed on a daily basis in line with practice policy. 8. Investigations should be completed and associated documentation dealt with within appropriate timescales. 9. Results are normally communicated either electronically or by letter via Docman, you will be expected to action these on a daily basis. 10. Reports: You will be expected to complete reports expected under the GMS contract. Additionally you may be expected to complete reports requested by other parties such as insurance companies. Any non-NHS reports fees are retained by New Collegiate Medical Centre Partnership. 11. Home visits are very rare due to commissioned home visiting service and would usually only be required in exceptional circumstances, such as for patients receiving palliative care. 12. Participate in practice meetings, case discussions, and continuous professional development activities to enhance your clinical knowledge and skills and ensure all mandatory training completed including your responsibilities for Level 3 Safeguarding Adults & Children. 13. Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical protocols and guidelines within the practice. 14. Adhere to the National Health Service (NHS) and practice policies and procedures, including clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives. 15. Maintain your professional registration and participate in the appraisal and revalidation processes as required by the General Medical Council (GMC). 16. Foster a positive and supportive working environment, promoting teamwork and collaboration among colleagues. Requirements: 1. Medical degree (MBChB or equivalent) and full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) in the UK. 2. Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP) or equivalent qualification. 3. Full indemnity cover (provided for by the practice for sessions covered in house) 4. Proven experience working as a General Practitioner, ideally within a primary care setting in the UK. 5. Excellent diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills. 6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues. 7. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and engage in shared decision-making. 8. Proficient in the use of electronic medical records systems and other healthcare technologies. 9. Commitment to continuous professional development and keeping up-to-date with the latest medical advancements. 10. Understanding of and adherence to professional ethics, clinical governance, and regulatory requirements. 11. Empathy, compassion, and a patient-centred approach to healthcare delivery.
