The Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Leader on a temporary contract (up to 12 months) to join our care services in Hinckley. You will lead a team of care staff, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality care in line with regulatory standards, including the Care Quality Commission (CQC). This role is hands-on and involves supporting both your team and service users directly, while overseeing day-to-day operations, staff development, and compliance with policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead, motivate, and manage a team of care staff, including recruitment, supervision, training, and performance management.
• Ensure services deliver person-centred care that maximises independence, choice, and control.
• Maintain compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and regulatory requirements
• Plan and organise staff rotas to meet service requirements, including flexible working patterns.
• Develop strong relationships with service users, families, advocates, and external partners.
• Oversee the safe management of service resources, facilities, and medication administration.
• Maintain accurate records, prepare reports, and respond to enquiries or complaints professionally.
• Promote inclusion, respect for diversity, and adherence to safeguarding procedures.
Essential Requirements:
• Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
• Proven experience in a care setting, preferably with residential, supported living, or community services.
• Demonstrable leadership experience with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-in shifts when required.
